A short and relatively easy hike from the Glaubenbergpasshöhe parking lot to the Fürstein summit and back.
First real hike of this year, therefore we chose a relatively easy hike which should take you only 4.5 hours. Be aware of any signs because along the route is an official military shooting range which is used on occasion.
Your starting point is the Glaubenbergpasshöhe parking lot. The first part of the hike is mostly on paved roads and later on well maintained hiking trails until you reach the chapel at Ober Sewen at lake Sewen. It is recommended that you take a short rest here and enjoy the view over the lake with the Alpine mountains in the back. From here you get also an overview of the next part and you can see already the summit cross on Fürstein. Follow the red signs through the grassland in the direction of Fürstein. Some parts are rocky and steep, so be a little surefooted and take it easy. When you reach the top, the view is amazing and you see on one side the snow covered Bernese Alpine mountains and on the other side the impressing cliffs of Schwändiliflue and Grönflue.
